Having worked in the London Investment Management recruitment space for over 10 years, our team of consultants are able to identify suitable talent that have the ability to take on such positions of responsibility.

Operations - Middle Office / Trade Support / Operations

This area is a forte of a number of our consultants as they have ‘hands on’ experience and are well connected within this area. Our clients range from small start-up funds through to large investment managers, every relationship is a unique one with a different set of requirements.

We also strive to identify candidates who demonstrate ability to grow into roles outside of operations, these areas include both trade execution and client servicing related positions.

Across the accountancy spectrum we recruit at all levels and work with both qualified candidates and those in the early days of pursuing such qualifications. A Note from the Founder

Thank you for your interest in O’Connell Resourcing and I hope that so far we have provided you with some details about who we are and what we cover. I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself and provide you a brief insight into my background and the reasons behind founding O’Connell Resourcing.


After completing a Finance Degree in Ireland in 1999, I worked within structured products at Deutsche Bank and as a Fund Accountant with Citco in Dublin. Prior to moving into the recruitment space in 2005, I worked with an Event Driven Hedge fund in London within their middle office area. O’Connell Resourcing is the second recruitment firm which I have founded. One of the main reasons why I moved into the recruitment space was due to my view of there being a gap in the market for recruitment professionals who really understood both individual’s and client’s needs. From dealing with multiple agencies whilst working in the industry, I felt that the market lacked recruitment professionals who really understood the industry. This is now the foundation of our business – understanding our client’s requirements.


I believe that one of O’Connell Resourcing’s differentiating factors is that the all our team have a deep knowledge of their chosen market specialisation and many of our consultants are ex market practitioners having worked at companies such as Citco, Tisbury Capital, Deutsche Bank and Eurohedge.  Cumulatively we have over 40 year’s worth of market and search experience.
